Although Pyin Oo Lwin is often referred to as the 'Flower City of Myanmar', it is equally important as one of Myanmar's main agricultural centres.  The climate benefits not only horticultural and agricultural produce; Pyin Oo Lwin has one of the highest human longevity rates in Myanmar!  It's also well known for its silkworm breeding industry, its traditional medicine research centre, and its coffee production.
